RightRobot privacy information

What RightRobot uses while helping you choose

RightRobot is designed to minimise the personal information needed to help you choose and compare robot vacuums.

Your recommendation question

When you ask RightRobot a recommendation or comparison question, the question is sent to RightRobot's server and then to the Google Gemini API so the wording can be converted into structured household needs. Gemini does not receive the RightRobot product catalogue and does not choose the winning robot.

RightRobot does not intentionally store your raw typed question in its journey-analytics database. Avoid including names, addresses, contact details or other information that is not needed for a robot-vacuum recommendation.

Optional analytics

If you choose Allow optional analytics, RightRobot creates an anonymous ID for the current browser session and records product-journey events such as a recommendation being shown, a robot profile being opened, a comparison being started, a price-refinement control being used or a retailer link being opened. RightRobot may also record the referring website, the landing-page path, broad device class and campaign labels supplied in links (for example UTM source, medium, campaign and content), plus approximate country, region and city supplied by the hosting platform. Search-keyword parameters such as UTM term are deliberately not recorded. It does not store the raw IP address, precise coordinates or postcode in the journey-analytics table.

The analytics route is designed to reject common raw-text fields such as question, prompt, email, phone, address and name. The session ID is kept in session storage rather than being used as a permanent cross-session identity.

You can choose No thanks and still use the recommendation service. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your analytics choice.

Feedback

If you deliberately submit feedback, RightRobot stores your ratings, answers and any optional comment together with an anonymous ID for the current browser session. Feedback can be submitted even if you declined optional journey analytics.

Your typed household recommendation question is not sent with the feedback form. Do not put sensitive or unnecessary personal information in the optional free-text box.

Public source and creator information

RightRobot may use limited publicly available information about product-review sources, such as a creator or publication name, channel name, source URL, publication date and publicly disclosed sponsorship or affiliate status. This is used for source attribution, provenance, source-diversity checks and evidence accuracy — not to build unrelated personal profiles.

Where that information identifies an individual, RightRobot's intended basis is its legitimate interest in providing transparent product evidence. The information used should be limited to what is relevant to that purpose. Creators can contact RightRobot to ask about this use or raise an objection.

YouTube source videos

RightRobot may use the YouTube Data API to identify public review videos and limited public metadata needed for source attribution, availability or embeddability checks and official YouTube playback. Users do not need to sign in to YouTube through RightRobot and RightRobot does not request access to a user's private YouTube account data.

Where a supporting YouTube video is displayed, RightRobot uses the official YouTube player or links to the source rather than rehosting the video.

Retailer and affiliate links

RightRobot can link to exact-model retailer or manufacturer pages. Some links are affiliate links and can earn RightRobot a commission. Where that applies, the commercial relationship is disclosed clearly before the click. Affiliate links can include non-personal campaign references such as the robot model and the RightRobot placement that generated the click so sales can be attributed correctly. Amazon Associates links use RightRobot's assigned Associates tracking ID; RightRobot does not append its analytics session identifier to Amazon URLs. Commission does not change Home Fit, comparison scores or recommendation ranking.

Retailer prices and availability change independently of RightRobot. A checked date is shown where RightRobot has verified a price; the retailer's page and checkout remain the final source for price, stock and sale terms.

Retention and contact

Journey events are product-improvement data rather than permanent user profiles and are intended to be retained only for as long as needed for product analytics, fraud/security investigation and service improvement.
