ECOVACS robot vacuums — which one should you buy?

ECOVACS has one of the longest-running robot-vacuum ranges and now spans affordable self-emptying models through to sophisticated DEEBOT X- and T-series machines. Recent models put a lot of emphasis on mopping, edge cleaning, anti-tangle systems and hands-off station maintenance.

Best for

Homes where mopping and a full-service station matter as much as vacuuming.

Watch for

The range changes quickly and promotions can move one model into another model's price band. Compare the exact current model, not the original launch hierarchy.

Range at a glance

Clear value, premium and flagship tiers, but with overlapping generations that make live price especially important.

ECOVACS buying guide

Understand the range before comparing individual models

Family names are useful shortcuts, but the exact robot still matters. Similar-looking models can have different mopping systems, obstacle hardware, docks, heights and prices.

01
Flagship

DEEBOT X-series

The place to look for ECOVACS' newest cleaning systems, high-end navigation and the most ambitious station features.

02
Premium

DEEBOT T-series

Often the sweet spot for shoppers who want advanced mopping and a capable OMNI station without automatically buying the top X-series model.

03
Value

DEEBOT N-series and simpler models

Useful when self-emptying and dependable scheduled cleaning matter more than the newest mop or obstacle-avoidance hardware.

RightRobot take

Where ECOVACS genuinely makes sense

ECOVACS is strongest when you want a robot that treats mopping as a core job rather than an extra pad under the machine. The newer T- and X-series models can add genuinely useful cleaning and maintenance hardware, but a discounted model one tier down can be the better buy. RightRobot separates current price from cleaning evidence so a sale does not magically make a robot better at cleaning.

Three sensible ways into the ECOVACS range

01

Hard floors first

Compare roller or pad mopping, edge reach and how fresh water is managed during cleaning.

02

Pets and long hair

Look at brush design, anti-tangle hardware and obstacle evidence separately. A pet-friendly mode is not the same thing as proven pet-waste avoidance.

03

Best value

ECOVACS promotions can be substantial, so always compare the live price of neighbouring T- and X-series models before deciding.

Before checkout

Four things to check on the exact model

Small suffixes and dock changes can matter more than the brand name.

  • Exact DEEBOT generation
  • Mop system and carpet handling
  • Bagged versus bagless station
  • Live price and current US availability
Quick answers

ECOVACS robot-vacuum questions

Is an X-series DEEBOT always better than a T-series?

Not for every home. The X-series usually carries the newest premium hardware, but a T-series model can be the better-value fit if you do not need those extras.

Does ECOVACS make good mopping robots?

Mopping is a major focus of the current range. The important comparison is between the exact mop systems and how the dock maintains them.

Why does RightRobot keep checking ECOVACS prices?

Because promotions can materially change which model makes sense. Price is kept separate from Home Fit so a discount changes value, not cleaning capability.
