Best humanoid robots for the home in 2026

There is no single best home humanoid yet because the leading robots are at very different stages. This guide shows what you can buy now, what is being developed for the home and what is still a future product.

The two robots here with a public purchase path

NEO is a home-focused US consumer proposition; Unitree G1 is buyable humanoid hardware. They are not equivalent products, so RightRobot keeps the buying context explicit.

Foundational autonomy plus scheduled Expert Mode for tasks NEO does not yet know

The clearest current home-humanoid consumer proposition, but buyers need a clear split between autonomous tasks and work that still uses Expert Mode.

Figure says Helix enables autonomous household tasks; public evidence is still developing

One of the strongest home-focused humanoids to watch. The home design and Helix demonstrations are significant, but there is no normal consumer purchase route yet.

Research/development platform capabilities should not be confused with dependable general household autonomy

A strong benchmark for the cost and capability of buyable humanoid hardware, but not a turnkey domestic service robot.

Potentially category-defining, but today it belongs in the future-product column: there is no normal consumer buying route to compare with current retail products.

Clearest home humanoid you can currently order in the US: 1X NEO

NEO stands out because it is explicitly designed for domestic use and has a real US consumer order path. That does not automatically make it the most capable humanoid overall, and it does not mean UK buyers can order one on the same terms today.

Most promising home-focused robot to watch: Figure 03

Figure says Figure 03 is designed for the home and has shown tasks such as laundry, cleaning and dishes. It also states a five-hour runtime and 20 kg payload. But consumers still do not have a normal checkout or retail price, so it is at an earlier buying stage than NEO.

Best example of humanoid hardware you can buy: Unitree G1

Unitree lists G1 at US$13,500 before tax and shipping, showing that sophisticated humanoid hardware can already be bought. UK buyers still need to account for shipping, tax and import costs. More importantly, being able to buy the robot does not mean it can run household chores by itself.

Biggest future name to watch: Tesla Optimus

Tesla says Optimus is intended to become a general-purpose humanoid that could eventually help with everyday work. Until there is a public price and a normal way for consumers to order it, it remains a future product rather than a realistic buying choice today.
