The robot times are eye-catching, but they are not ratified human athletics records. The stronger evidence is robot-to-robot progress: the winning 100m fell from 21.50 seconds in 2025 to 8.64 seconds in 2026.

Running shows balance and control. Household usefulness depends on manipulation, sequencing, autonomy and recovery when the environment is messy.
